Brittany adventure and Clean-out

I'm going to Brittany next week... Woo Hooo!

For those who don't know it's the north west corner of France and is apparently really cool and sort of detached from France. It get's absolutely battered by the ocean and that's mainly why I'm going - to see the spectacular coastline. And they also wear funny lace hat things (or used to at least).

So here's the list of places and things I want to see:
St Malo - Beautiful City
Heulgoat - Good hiking and awesome mountains
Carnac - Neolithic Monoliths
Belle-île - Awesome coastline and city on island.
Concarneau - Walled city - I might drop this one.
La Pointe du Raz - Very battered coastline but gorgeous.
Cap Fréhel - Pretty Cape with walks
La Roche aux fées - Rock formations - a little out of the way, might not get there.
Ménez-Hom - This looks amazing. Big Panoramic views off small mountain.

Hmm fair bit there to see. I'm hoping I can do it all in 5 days. I hope. Otherwise I might have to cut somethings out. Now I just have to figure out how much money I have left. I wonder if the camera shop will let me rent a nice DSLR for the few days? I'll have to check.

Clean Out
I cleaned my room out this weekend and threw out heaps and heaps of crap. Mainly just old uni work and teaching material that I'm never going to use again. I did save heaps of it to return to the highschool so they can pass it on to the next assistant. Anyway, I think I took about 5 rubbish bags down to the bin!!

While I was cleaning out though I had my window wide open and apparently my room was perfect for a bunch of bugs to migrate to. So when I went to go to bed, the light got swarmed by all these little bugs. Had to spray them all, so that meant I couldn't go to bed coz of the smell so had to wait a few hours for it to disperse. Then I had dead bugs all over my bed. *sob*.

So only 2 weeks until I have to move out of here and meet up with mum and dad. Scary how this year has gone so fast.

Sunset over The Garonne

I've uploaded a bigger version to Flickr if you want to see it better.

Panorama - badly stitched together due to strong vignetting problem. I'll be going out again tonight to try again. I'll probably take about 6 or 7 photos and stitch them together instead of just 3 to get around the vignetting problem.

Another sunset shot of the Garonne when I was starting to head home. I turned around and saw this.
