Podcasts I listen to...

It seems like the cool thing to do at the moment is to list what Podcasts you like/listen to.

If you don't know, a podcast is basically a (legal) MP3 that someone has recorded and put on the internet for you to download whenever you like. Usually they're of professional/amateur radio programs. It's exactly like listening to the radio - but you can do it when you want and where you want.

You need to download a program like iPodder (named after an iPod but you can use any mp3 player). Then you add podcast feeds and you can set it up to d'load automatically. So anyway, here's my current list.

My Favourite Podcasts
Adam Curry Daily Source Code <-- This guy invented podcasting!
Dr Karl on Triple J <-- Radio station in Australia, Dr K answers people's science questions.
Hack on Triple J <-- Daily current affairs program
30yrs of Triple J
Slacker Astronomy <-- My latest find, funny, informative, interesting
This Week in Science <-- I've only just started listening to this.
BBC Radio 4 (In Our Time) <-- Yes I'm just a big geek

Holga 120 N

Well I just got my Holga in the mail yesterday. I bought it off ebay and can't beleive how fast it got here.
So I quickly modified it and then put in an old roll of colour 35mm that I bought a few days ago and I hit the streets! I got some pretty cool shots although a loooot of light leaks. I was careful to tape up the camera but obviously not enough. I knew I was going to get some light through the counter window because the tape came off mid roll.

I even got the film developed for free because they couldn't print any of the pics. Apparently the printing machines need to be able to see the little numbers along the edges of the film to be able to print the pics (and know which frame it's looking at I guess). I don't understand why the machine needs to know what it's looking at - why can't they just print what's in there.

So I'll need to go to a friends house and scan the negatives in to see what I've got here. I tried to take a photo of the negative with my digital camera to invert it in PS but I dunno if it's coz I took a digi pic or if it's the actual photos but they're very grainy and the colours are very washed out.

Well we'll see, hopefully I'll scan them today.
