Festival Cairns

Every year the city holds a big festival and to finish off the month long festival, there's a parade along the esplanade... with heaps of floats, music, etc.
I had a fair bit of fun taking these photos. It was hard because there were so many people there, the floats were moving and dark, the background was bright and my batteries in my flash were dying. :-(
So a little bit of PS never goes astray. But surprisinly, they haven't been changed 'that' much. hehe my dad would say that they are still a photo.... so that must be something.

This is probably my favourite. I just love all the blurry stuff in the background and the way that the kids are watching this 'scary' mask.
